White Harvest Farms

The Clara White Mission has been serving veterans, low income and the homeless for more than 100 years.
Currently, the Mission provides breakfast to over 500 people daily. In addition, the Mission provides licensed vocational training in culinary and janitorial industries, a catering service, a janitorial service, and a wedding and conference center with in-house catering.

The Mission’s newest initiative is the creation of a sustainable farm that will offer fresh, healthy produce to
an underserved community, while selling excess produce to local restaurants.

Our goals at the Clara White Mission are simple. We train homeless veterans and low-income individuals for
employment through the provision of industry-specific job skills. Our vocational programs are designed to
provide “a hand up, and not a hand out”, by layering job training with a life skills curriculum, personal counseling, housing assistance, and job placement services. Our newest initiative, White Harvest Farms, provides on the job training with a focus on the agricultural, scientific and mechanical elements of farming and harvesting. Upon completion of our program, trainees will be equipped with employable skills.

Mission Statement: To prevent and reduce homelessness through advocacy, housing, job training and employment by working in partnership with the community. The Mission has received an Elite Rating from Charity Navigator™ for its community efforts and excellent financial stewardship.
